The FiveByThree ALP works like any other ALP. A setup software automatically installs it in the Biomek workspace, after which it is ready to be added to the deck. It can be placed in the same two deck locations in the front or back as a regular FourByThree ALP
The FiveByThree is only slightly wider than the FourByThree, yet it has three more plate positions. This is possible because labware is placed more closely side-by-side with only 12 mm in between positions, compared to 45 mm on the FourByThree. A side effect of this approach is the possibility of interference between the tip loader bracket and taller labware.
