Description/Details: The TraXis laser coding system provides secure storage and identification of samples. The microtubes used in this system have a special code that can be read quickly and reliably by the TraXis reader. This coding system has 8.5 billion possible combinations. The cap mats can close off 96 tubes in a single operation. Single closed tubes can be extracted by removing a pin. Three different readers are available: the Profi reader can scan a full rack in less than 3 s, the single-sample reader can identify an individual tube in 0.5 s, and a scanning reader can scan an entire rack in 45 s.
